Abstract

As part of the theme “Development of content that widely presents the outcomes of Q-LEAP and other programs and lets people experience them firsthand,” this reports hands-on workshops on quantum sensors using diamond NV centers, held in cooperation with Nissin Electric Co., Ltd. and Tokyo Institute of Technology at SHIBUYA QWS (July 30 and August 22, 2024). Each session combined a lecture on the fundamentals and industrial applications of quantum information technology with a live demonstration of sensing with quantum sensors, and more than 40 people took part in total.

(A part of) this research was conducted under the Cross-ministerial Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP) 3rd Phase “Promoting the Application of Advanced Quantum Technology Platforms to Social Issues” by the Council for Science, Technology and Innovation, Cabinet Office (Managing Agency: QST).
